Kenneth J. is a 18-year-old Dominican photographer who immigrated to the United States three years ago. He recently graduated from Inwood Academy and is now working as a freelance photographer. For his article, Kenneth has focused on New York City fashion and street photography. These topics are personal to him because when he’s outside, he often finds himself looking at people’s fashion and at street art. And as a photographer, he takes pictures wherever he goes.
That said, Kenneth does not enjoy writing and prefers photography as his way of expressing himself. Kenneth wants to help people out when it comes to dressing, filming, taking pictures, and how to create a scene. Aside from street art and fashion, Kenneth is inspired by own self as well. When he thinks of an idea or makes a plan before taking pictures or getting dressing, he executes it well thus becoming his own muse and inspiration for his arts. His future plans are to build a clothing brand and have a successful YouTube channel to continue helping and inspiring others. —By Miah Soto

My name is Bom, a graduate Urban Design student. I’m working on the cultural activities in Inwood. I’m not sure if it would be possible to get in touch with one of the artists to learn more about your activities? Thank you so much 🙂
